The proposals for names of newly studied objects are submitted to "GEBCO Sub-Committee on Geographical Names and Nomenclature of Ocean Bottom Features" of Joint International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC, part of UNESCO Science Activities) Guiding Committee for General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO). |
