Information placed here presents the most common characterictics of expeditions, managed on board of R/V "Akademik Nikolaj Strakhov"  and on other vessels with participation of Laboratory current or former staff members.

Main concentration of surveys made by Geological Institute, and in cooperation with other organizations, is located in Central Atlantic area (see picture below).  The results of expeditions could be obtained from our Publications and presentations of maps from Geological-Geophysical Atlas of Cetral Atlantic. Also the researches of Southern Atlantic, Arctic and Mediterranean sea were carried out. Bathymetry data on Bouvet Triple Junction are currently exposed at IMGData Center and LAMONT Ridge Multibeam Synthesis pages.
